A tribute to Grandpa Price

Last night our Grandpa Price lost his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the people he loved the most and we are positive he is surrounded now by those who he loved that went before him. We could not be there in person to say goodbye, but I was so grateful that Kevin got to talk to his grandpa on the phone that day. He got to tell him how much he loved him and say his goodbye. Grandpa Price was eighty-nine years old, he lived a full and good life. He was married to the love of his life Elizabeth Price for sixty-nine years, in October they would have celebrated their seventh anniversary. We were so fortunate to have loved and know this wonderful man. We are so glad that our little Porter got to know his great grandpa. Grandpa Price loved to sing him nursery songs and show him the fish at his house. Porter would laugh at Grandpa and smile the biggest smiles when he would sing to him. Just a couple of weeks ago, when Grandpa was pretty sick we went to see him. He was determined to sing his nursery songs to Porter, even though it took a lot out of him. Porter loved every second of it. We love you Grandpa Price and we will miss you.

Ten things I Can't Live Without.......

#10- WHITE RAIN HAIRSPRAY: you heard me I love me some white rain hairspray. It's the cheapest, holds the best, and smells the prettiest. Who needs to buy ten dollar hairspray, when you can by this for a dollar. Plus, its mentioned in the song " Hick Town!"

#9-REALITY TV: There are so many "closet reality TV fans" out there. Well, I am out of the closet, I am not to proud to admit I love to watch reality TV at night time. Some of my favorites include Seventeen Kids and Counting, and just this season The Bachelor! Yea sure some of it might be fake, but who really cares - its relaxing to watch.

#8-ROOT BEER: All I have to say is there is nothing like a good old Root Beer on a Saturday night! Now I have to keep this one at a minimum - I can't be chugging one right after another-but I really love Root Beer.

#7- EXERCISE TV: So most days I don't feel like going out to the gym. On those days I just flip it to exercise TV and work out with them. I really enjoy doing Pilate's it is my favorite and always makes me feel so refreshed.

#6- THE SCRIPTURES: Everyday I start out with reading the scriptures my day always goes so smooth. I have to admit that I don't do this everyday, but when I do it sure does help.

#5-THE OFFICE: This one looks kind of trivial coming after the scriptures, but hey it gives me a good laugh every Thursday night!

#4- THE DISHWASHER: Actually, I can live without this one, considering I did for three years! This is the first time since I have been married, I have had one. However, know that I see just how great it really is - I never want to go back!

#3: BIG SWEATERS: There is just nothing like a good old hoodie. You can wear them during the day, @ night, in the mountains or in the city!

#2- OUR FAMILIES: Since I have moved away from them, I have realized just how much I love them all! We have the greatest families, there is nothing better then going home and hanging out with them.

#1-MY BOYS: They mean the world to me-they are the best! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!

A quick trip home

This past week we got to go back to Utah to watch Kevin's little brother Jeb wrestle in the State Tournament. It was a lot of fun to watch Kevin get so into wrestling, he is pretty passionate about it. Jeb ended up finishing fourth, he was a little disappointed in himself-considering he beat the state champ three times this year. However, fourth is great and we are really proud of him. Porter even got into it wearing his " future state champ" shirt and cheering on his Uncle Jeb. We were also able to see my family. My mom and dad came up and we spent Saturday with them in Provo. We had lots of fun staying in a hotel, shopping, and eating lots of good food with them! Thanks mom and dad for everything this weekend. It is always so nice to go home and see our family, we really love it!

You are looking at your future state wrestling champ!

Who needs real toys

Porter has recently discovered how fun playing with household items can really be!! The days of playing with normal, average, everyday toys are gone- bring on the lids, spoons, paper plates, and plastic cups. At least, we can save money on toys now!!

Porter loves playing with lids & cups

Taking a snooze after a hard morning of playing- I love how he always puts his hand up like that when he sleeps- so precious!

Valentines Day Tag

What is your husband’s name? Kevin Lynn Daniels
*How long have you been married? Three years
*How long did you date? We started dating in October of 2004 and got married in May 05' so that's seven months
*How old is he? 25
*Who eats more sweets? Its pretty close, but I would say me cause I snack more. We both do pretty good unless we are playing games or on the mountain.
* Who said I love you first? That would be Kevin! I was really sick one time at Snow and he was taking care of me. He leaned over and whispered it in my ear- and I answered right back with a I LOVE YOU TOO!
* Who is taller? Kevin
*Who is smarter? I would say Kevin, but I am not that far behind! He is a trivia genius, I swear he needs to go on Jeopardy and win me millions!
* Who sings the best? I think I win that title. Although Kev is not as bad as he makes himself out to be. That boy can rock out in the car like no other.
*Who sleeps on the right side? Me
*Who mows the lawn? We have a lawn full of rocks
*Who cooks dinner? I mostly do, I have really learned to enjoy cooking.
*Who drives? We share that duty! You see we both hate to drive, so we usually spend ten minutes figuring out which one of us gets to be the lucky one. Although since Porter was born Kev has driven a lot more than me.
*Who is first to admit they are wrong? I don't know it's different every time
*Who kissed who first? Kevin kissed me and it is a story for the ages! At Snow we would always go on walks. I knew it was coming and anyone who knows me knows that I use to be so scared of kissing, it made me nervous. Anyway he went in for the kill, I turned my head and he kissed my eye! Then my Tourettes set in and I yelled "I NEVER WANTED YOU TO KISS ME!" Needless to say his pride was a little hurt. But, he stuck around and I got better at it.
*Who asked who out first? Kev asked me out first, we played laser tag and watched a movie.

I tag: Mom, Bree, Amanda, and anyone else who feels like doing it!

UFC and the Superbowl

This weekend was a pretty eventful for sports. Kevin and I have been waiting patiently for the UFC fights that were on Saturday night. Every week we have been watching the show on spike leading up to the fights. Our house was split I wanted GSP and Kevin was rooting for BJ Penn. It felt nice to have my guy be victorious and you better believe I did a little smack talking after GSP won! Kevin and I really enjoy watching the fights together, its always a good time.

Porter in his UFC gear!

Then on Sunday we invited our friends over for a Superbowl bash! I swear the Superbowl is like the Thanksgiving of junk food, its great! We had tons of good junk food and some pretty delicious ribs and baked beans! However, the game didn't turn out the way we had hoped. I just have one question to ask what were the 3 Cardinals doing that were standing in the in zone when Holmes made the touchdown with 35 seconds left, picking their noses???? I will never know or understand. However the best part of Superbowl Sunday was the hour episode of my all time favorite show the Office. It was of course hilarious and totally made up for the Cardinals loosing.

My Favorite line of the night, " Stanley Barrack is President, you are black!"

This pic has nothing to do with the ufc, Superbowl, or the office - it just Laramie's number one gangster!
