What the heck......

So as you all know by now I hang out with four and five year olds all day, teaching preschool. I really do love my job, some days more then others, but the thing I love the most is the crap that comes out of these kids mouth. Today, I was really caught off guard when I heard a group of four year old girls describing one of there male peers as and I quote, "REALLY SEXY!" Then chanted, " HE IS SEXY!" This was a WHAT IN THE HECK moment! How do these little chica's even know what sexy means? I do admit that it made me laugh, but honestly! Another WHAT IN THE HECK moment was when a little boy ask a fellow teacher and I quote again, " Miss Yana have you ever slept with the mailman?" This earned a double WHAT IN THE HECK!!!

To add another WHAT IN THE HECK moment, I admit I watch the bachelor. OK, shoot me please I feel dumber every minute I watch it! Really, this top gun affect they have going on this year is overly cheesy! And, yes despite the scene in the first episode where he was chopping wood without a shirt, and riding his motorcycle with the wind blowing through his hair, I still got sucked in. Oh, and lets not forget the "On the wings of love," song that plays ever two seconds. I have watched faithfully ever Monday night and I say go Tenley all the way. Vienna is a hooker and I do not like her. If he picks her over Tenley it will be a " WHAT IN THE HECK!" moment!

Reading already

I am sure you have all seen the infomercials of this program called " Your Baby Can Read", Kevin got sucked in and decided to order it for Porter. We got it in the mail yesterday, it comes with DVDs, books, and sliding cards. It says that no matter what age your child is, the can learn to read through seeing written word, showing them pictures, and discussion. We tried it yesterday Porter loves the books. I just laughed at Kevin when he got it, but if anything it will help him learn new words to say and he has fun doing it. We will see if it really works!!!

Yes, another cheesy Valentines day post.......

So I got this idea off of my sister-in-law Stacy's blog, I loved it! So sorry Stacy I stole your cute idea.

WHEN AND WHERE DID WE MEET?
Kevin and I owe it all to Stacy. We meet in 2004 when we were both attending Snow College, in Ephraim. I was roomates with his sister Stacy and got to know him that way.

WHO ASK WHO OUT FIRST AND WHAT DID YOU DO?

Kevin came up to our apartment to play games and flirt with my best friend and roommate Lindsey. I was on my way out the door to a study group, but he was so cute I had to stay and talk. I decided I too could play the flirting game and so it went from there. Kevin asked me out as he was loading up to go Elk Hunting. We went with a bunch of other couples and played lazar tag. Then we went back to his apartment and watched a movie. We talked for a long time after everyone left and then he walked me to my door.

THE FIRST KISS:

I personally believe this will be the best story to tell our kids and grandkids. I can see myself at 80 in my old lady voice laughing and telling this story,it is one of a kind. Everynight Kevin and I would walk around campus talking and holding hands. It was between the Language Arts and Science building when Kevin leaned in for the big one. Now, if you know me you know that I was so afraid to kiss, my nerves made me do really funny things. So I ducked my head, forcing Kev to kiss me between the eyes and yelled, " I NEVER WANTED YOU TO KISS ME!" Needless to say Kevin's pride was hurt, I felt like a retard, and the walk home was chuck full of akwardness. I GOT BETTER AFTER THAT ONE!

HOW LONG DID YOU DATE:

Kevin and I dated for a whopping four months, I know it was a lifetime. We got engaged in Febuary and we were married in May.

WHO SAID "I LOVE YOU" FIRST:

That would be Kev, what can I say he is aggressive. I had been really sick and he had taken care of me all day. I was laying on the couch and he lend over and spilled the beans.

HOW DID HE PROPOSE:

Kevin flew me all the way to Washington D.C. to ask me to marry him. In fact it was on Febuary 18th at yes, Ford's Threate. It was perfect for us, even though most people might see it as a little morbed. It was on the balcony, before they let people up there, he dropped to one knee and said, " Trish you are my best buddy, will you be it for eteranity." I began to laugh and through my laughter said " Yes!" We both love history, and that city and were so glad when we got to take Porter back to the place where we began this summer.

WEDDING DAY:

We got married on May 21, 2005 in the Manti temple. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of family and friends there to help us celebrate. I don't remember a lot of things the sealer said, but I do remember he commented about how big our smiles were and and how happy we looked. I will never forget looking at Kevin's big smile and holding his hands accross the alter.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUALITY ABOUT KEVIN:

Well, this is a hard one because I admire so much about this man. However, if I had to pick one it would be his work ethic. He gives 110 percent at everything he does. He never doubts himself he just goes for it! He always puts his ideas and dreams into action.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER:

Kevin and I enjoy a lot of the same things. We love watching movies and though we don't go to the theatre a lot, we still rent them all the time. We also love camping and we usally ge the chance to do that every summer.

AND OFCOURSE THE BEST THING ABOUT US IS HIM......

I LOVE YOU KEVIN

Food for the Soul......

Growth Required To Return Home....

" One's life...cannot be both faith-filled and stress-free... Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, 'Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!'...

" Real faith..is required to endure this necessary but painful developmental process."
- Elder Neal A. Maxwell

" There are ripple marks on the highest rock, and there are sea fossils and other evidence of what's on top having once been at the bottom.. If you want to understand the summit, you must understand the depths, because that's where the summit began."- Adam C. Olson Church Magazines

Have a wonderful Sunday, peace out!

All about my little person

So I wanted to do a post all about my little man and his favorite things! He is in such a fun stage of life. He is discovering so many new things and has such a big personality. I really love being his mom, he makes our world go round.

1. His blue blanket- You know the little boy on Charlie Brown that carries his blanket with him everywhere, that's Porter. He got this fuzzy blue blanket from Kevin's Aunt Kathy. He carries it everywhere and when he gets tired it is like his pacifier He puts the fuzzy part up to his face and rubs his nose with it. We don't go anywhere with out this thing.

2. Cheetos/Chicken Nuggets:

So we all know that Porter is not a chunky monkey and is not the best of all eaters. But, when I can't get him to eat anything, I can always count on Cheetos or Chicken Nuggets. He love, love, loves them!

3. He loves books:

He loves for you to read books to him. He gets so excited and so into the book. His all time favorite is, " Who says Woof?" I read it at least a thousand times every weekend.

4. Harry the Bunny:

We found this educational children's channel called Baby First TV. They have a lot of cool programs, Porters favorite is Harry the Bunny! He always makes sure he says hi and bye to Harry.

6. Football and Wrestling:

Porter is such a boy he loves to rough house and throw everything. He watches the UFC with his daddy and will cheer and clap for all the guys! He loves to throw the football and anything else he can get his tiny little hands on.

7. Morning and Nigh time:

Porter is funny he only wants his mommy in the morning and his daddy at night. I love his hugs and kisses in the morning. And, he loves to rough house and play with dad at night. We both love our time with him.
