So, this Christmas was kind of crazy! Kevin and I enjoyed the best vaction in Playa Del Carmen Mexico from the 17th -24th. We left the little man home with Grandma and Grandpa Lloyd, and made our way back to him on Christmas Eve. We were really tired but ready to wake up with Porter on Christmas Morning. Porter woke up around 6:40 and I took him into the living room to rock him back to sleep. However, my plan was foiled once he saw his pile of goodies Santa had left him.
Porter was really fun this year after every present he opened he would say, "WOW!"
He got lots of toys, Santa and all of his grandparents really spoiled him.
Santa went all the way to Mexico to get Porter these maricas

A Christmas Miracle.....
For those of you who know our sweet little Porter, you know he is one stubborn little man. He does things on his timeline and will not be pushed!!! He has finally made the long journey from scooting like a monkey, to crawling like a crazy man, to walking like a ninety year old! Last week when I picked him up from daycare he walked across the room. I was so excited that I almost started to cry, the other teachers were laughing at me! Each day since then it has been a fight to get him to repeat the act for his dad. He would take two or three steps and then just start crawling. He was not convinced walking was the better way to travel. Then, tonight he finally did it for his dad! He had lots of fun walking back and forth between the two of us. He moves so slowly and takes the littlest steps, it cracks me up! Here is a short video of him walking.

Santa Sucks!
Santa Sucks, just ask the millions of little kids who have to sit on his lap each year. Who says that Santa Clause isn't scary! If, you think about it why would little kids think he looks like a jolly old saint nick! He is an overweight, hairy, old individual and he is scary to little people. Monday, the Santa visited the law-school so we took Porter to sit on his lap. He was not a big fan, of the old fart! This first picture pretty much sums up Porter's opinion on the old man.
He was a little more open to the idea when we all stood behind Santa!

Oh Me Oh My it's Christmas Time!
So, I have really gotten into the Christmas spirit this year! I am usually a last minute person, but I got the bug early this year and went with it. While, in Utah for Thanksgiving, we went up Ephraim Canyon to get a Christmas tree with the Daniels. Kevin's Aunt April found me the perfect tree, and we packed it all the way back to Laramie. I really love how it turned out this year, with my decorations from the Dollar Tree!!
I got most of my decorations from the Dollar Tree, great store!
Since, my house was clean from decortating for Christmas. I decided to take some pictures of the new apartment!

The Kitchen
Our last apartment had no room for a table! So, we are glad to have one in this apartment.
The Living Room
Also, today I decided to make a gingerbread house with the little man. For, the most part he was really interested! After awhile he lost interested and started throwing the candy everywhere, but it was still fun!
Oh, and did I mention I get to go to Cancun from the 17-24 of this month! Oh yea I can't wait. This is what awaits me....

So it was so great to go home for a couple of days and see our wonderful families! It really was so nice to see them, we had a great time. We had turkey day at the Daniels this year the company was funny and the food was tasty! It was really fun to watch Porter and McKay play together that night! They were cracking me up, making each other laugh and wrestle!

pre-turkey day post
Yea, it's almost Thanksgiving! I swear this is the most brilliant of all holidays, a day dedicated to food! Those Pilgrims and Indians knew how to party, they had the right idea! Even though I love food, I know that there is more to the holiday. So, I wanted to dedicated a post to the things I am Thankful for in my life!
* For motherhood: I swear nothing has taught me more in such a short amount of time! I was blessed with this little bundle of craziness and nothing makes me feel more full filled or happy. I love my little man to pieces and I am so glad he choose me to be his mommy!
* Hubby: This man puts up with a lot! I have many crazy moments and despite them all he loves me. He treats me like a queen, and works so hard for us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for everything!
* Families: They are great! I have so much fun when I am around them, they make me laugh, and make me happy! I can't wait to see you all!
* Employment/Education: I am so happy I was able to find something I love and make a career out of it. I am so thankful that I was able to graduate and become a teacher! Even though, I wasn't able to land a job in the public school system, I am grateful that I found a job I like. These, preschoolers crack me up daily with all of there craziness! I look forward to the day when I will be able to go back to school and get that Master's!
* The gospel: It makes me happy, and I am so lucky to have it has the guiding force in my life.
* Real Housewives: On a less serious note, I love this show! Atlanta, New Jersey, or Orange County I don't care what city it is, I love the drama! It is one of my favorites, and after a long day it is relaxing to watch these rich idiots.
* Life's Adventures: We have had a few of them this past year! Some where great others sucked, but we learned something from all of them.
* Flat Irons: Again, on a less serious note--what did we do before these! I am convinced they are the greatest invention ever.
Anyway, hope you all have a great Thanksgiving !

Can you give me a WHOO-HOO!!!
It's time to celebrate my friends, after what seems like ten years & a lot of hard work, my wonderful husband found out today that he made Wyoming Law Review and got his case note published! In English that means he has been working on a legal article that will be published in Wyoming Law Journal! He has been writing this since June and has put in many long nights and hours of editing. It is a very big deal for a Law Student, and we couldn't be prouder! Bare with me for one moment, while I have a very proud wife moment. I look up to Kevin so much, he is just a person who has no limits! He see's something he wants to achieve, he believes in himself and his abilities, he goes for it and never looks back! He is such a great example to me on where hard work, and self belief can get you! GREAT WORK KEVIN, Porter and I are so proud of you!

Daniels Update
As of late we haven't had to much to blog about! Life has just been regular old life, nothing out of the ordinary! Weather in Wyoming is so weird, one day it is absolutely beautiful and the next it is a freakin blizzard. We did have a couple of weeks were it was the best fall weather! While we had great weather I decided to take Porter out to the park to play. We had so much fun together, he loves the park and climbing up and down all the equipment. Here are some pics and a video of our fun afternoon at the park!

Master Yoda's Second Halloween
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I hope you all had a fun and safe day, isn't Halloween so much fun! I think it is even funnier when you have a little one to dress up. This year we had a lot of fun with our little Master Yoda! He looked so cute and wear his costume all day! Most of our Halloween activities took place on Friday, it was a busy day but lots of fun. First off, it was my birthday and Kevin as always made it a special day! The night before Kevin took me out to eat and to a movie, it was nice to be able to go out just me and him! On my birthday I woke up to him and my little man singing Happy Birthday, it doesn't get any better. For my birthday Kevin got me a kitchen table & some Jillian Micheal's work-out DVDs. Since, I worked all day yesterday, I couldn't answer my phone. But, I want to say THANK YOU to all my family and friends who called, texted, or facebooked me birthday wishes! It means so much, I love you all!
Now on to Halloween with Porter....it was a busy, busy day for us! Porter had a fun class party with all of his daycare friends. They painted pumpkins and participated in a Halloween costume parade around the daycare!
His Yoda custume was a major hit, everyone friends and strangers got a big kick out of it! After, daycare Kevin & I took him to the trunk-or-treat put on by the Law-School. Porter loved picking up the candy out of the bowls, and holding it all in his hands. He didn't want us to put it in the bag, I guess he was afraid we would eat it!
>
Later that night my work, Porter's daycare, put on a Halloween Carnival. I had to work it, but got to take Porter and Kevin around when they came later on in the night! It is a really fun event, with so many activities for the kids! Porter had fun fishing for toys, going through the haunted house, and winning cookies in the cake walk! Let's just say by the end of the day, we were all ready to caught some zzzz's!!!
Porter loved his Master Yoda cumtome so much, that this moring when he got up he wanted the ears back on! He wore them all morning, and even took a bath with them on!
And, here are some pictures of my cute little nerd!
