Happy Father's Day

" The Sacred title of 'father' is shared with the Almighty. In the Church men are called and released. Did you ever hear of a mortal father being released?
...Fatherhood is not a matter of station or wealth; it is a matter of desire, diligence, and determination to see one's family exalted in the celestial kingdom. If that prize is lost, nothing else matters."

Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers in my life!

Their sweet when they sleep

Life doesn't get much better when you wake up to this sight in the morning

Or when your two year old request that he sleep with his picture of Jesus next to him and takes a mid-day nap with ease....

I am so grateful I don't have to miss these moments anymore!

A whole bunch of randomness.....

Iam still playing caught up and as I was going through my phone I found a bunch of pictures I needed to put on here. So, here we go....

THE PETTING ZOO
Back in May Porter, Eva, and I went to the Petting Zoo with my preschool class. Porter had so much fun looking at all the animals. He talked about it for days after, Eva was equally excited so excited that she slept through the whole thing.

RANDOMNESS

Porter Loves Cowboys in fact I hear daily the phrase, " I am a real cowboy mommy!"

Porter and his friend Deli

My attempt at being a photographer to say the least it didn't work out so well

Playing Caught Up.....

I have severely neglected my blog, its time to catch up! A lot has occurred since I last posted. Eva is growing like a week and getting cuter everyday. Kevin graduated from Law School and I couldn't be prouder of him. It was great to watch him achieve something he worked so hard for. After graduation we moved to Aurora, Utah of all places to begin a new chapter in our little families life. Kevin got a Judaical Clerkship for the Sixth Judicial District based out of Richfield. It is a two year clerkship and we are glad to be back in Utah and close to our families. I have pictures for all of these events but we will start way back at Easter.
Easter was alot of fun this year even though we celebrated with just our little family. Porter was really into everything from painting the eggs to waiting for the Easter Bunny. We kept telling him that the Easter Bunny would come and hide the eggs. Well he must have thought that meant we play hide -n- seek with the Easter Bunny because he kept going to the corner and yelling, " I hide from the Easter Bunny Mom!"

Eva Grace Daniels

Eva Grace Daniels is finally here and this is her story! Little Eva Grace was due on March 25Th which came quickly and left quickly with no baby. We waited and waited patiently( as patiently as you can) for her to arrive. I walked and walked and waited for contractions to come that never did. Kevin's parents came up for Conference weekend hoping to be there for their first granddaughters birth and they got their wish. Sunday I slept all day, I was so tired. That night we set down to watch my favorite show Sister Wives and I started having small contractions but they were coming every ten minutes. I didn't get my hopes up because I was sure these would go away just like all the others. They kept coming and slowly became stronger, then before I knew it they were three minutes apart and they were serious business. About ten o'clock Kevin and I decided this was real and made our way to Ivinson Memorial Hospital. An hour later I had my epidural and by 1:30 I was ready to start pushing. I pushed and throw-up for an hour and a half and at 3:30 exactly on Monday April 4Th she was born.

She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz

And was 20 1/2 inches long

Named Eva Grace Daniels after her Grandma Daniels

Porter came to the hospital the next morning to meet his baby sister. He came in to the room with the biggest smile on his face. He saw me holding her, looked at be with a huge grin, and said, " Mom that's my baby sister!" He wasn't shy he climbed right up and gave her a kiss, it was the cutest thing.

Mom and her babies

I have had plenty of jokes about what the our mailman or hometeacher looks like, because of her dark complexion and hair. She was born with the perfect Mohawk infact Porter called her " The Mohawk Baby."

Eva has been such a great baby. She hardly ever cries and she sleeps pretty good for a newborn.

And of course I have had so much fun playing dress-up, here is my little diva in her tutu that her Auntie Chelsee made for her....

And we will end our birthday story with a picture of the little man playing Avatar

A trip to Denver...........

Last week during Spring Break we had to make a trip down to the Children's Hospital for a Porter check-up. We decided since it was Spring Break and we had a day off we might as well do something fun while we were there. Our cute little Porter has been really into Dinosaurs lately. Him and Dad have been checking out books at the library about Dinosaurs and he was finally introduced to the classic Land Before Time. So, we decided to take him to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to see the Dinosaur Bones. The trip was well worth it just to hear him yell and freak-out every time we saw a fossil. Here are some pictures of our fun little day trip.....

Porter loved the Kids Discovery Zone--this is him and Daddy digging for bones. There was also a special Pirate exhibit, we were to cheap to actually go in but we took the opportunity to take some pics with them!

IN OTHER NEWS:

I am now 40 weeks and two days pregnant, and this Killer Whale will soon be my twin sister if I don't have this baby. Yep my due date came and then went--with no activity! That's alright something like 70% of women go over their due date, so it was to be expected. I went over with Porter so I guess this one will be no different. They won't let you go over 41 weeks here so at my appointment on Wednesday they will schedule me to be induced if little Eva has not made her debut. She takes after her mother already she has to make her entrance into this world a dramatic one, what can I say we have a flair for the dramatic! Keep your fingers crossed that I won't have to be induced.
