pre-turkey day post

Yea, it's almost Thanksgiving! I swear this is the most brilliant of all holidays, a day dedicated to food! Those Pilgrims and Indians knew how to party, they had the right idea! Even though I love food, I know that there is more to the holiday. So, I wanted to dedicated a post to the things I am Thankful for in my life!

* For motherhood: I swear nothing has taught me more in such a short amount of time! I was blessed with this little bundle of craziness and nothing makes me feel more full filled or happy. I love my little man to pieces and I am so glad he choose me to be his mommy!

* Hubby: This man puts up with a lot! I have many crazy moments and despite them all he loves me. He treats me like a queen, and works so hard for us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for everything!

* Families: They are great! I have so much fun when I am around them, they make me laugh, and make me happy! I can't wait to see you all!

* Employment/Education: I am so happy I was able to find something I love and make a career out of it. I am so thankful that I was able to graduate and become a teacher! Even though, I wasn't able to land a job in the public school system, I am grateful that I found a job I like. These, preschoolers crack me up daily with all of there craziness! I look forward to the day when I will be able to go back to school and get that Master's!

* The gospel: It makes me happy, and I am so lucky to have it has the guiding force in my life.

* Real Housewives: On a less serious note, I love this show! Atlanta, New Jersey, or Orange County I don't care what city it is, I love the drama! It is one of my favorites, and after a long day it is relaxing to watch these rich idiots.

* Life's Adventures: We have had a few of them this past year! Some where great others sucked, but we learned something from all of them.

* Flat Irons: Again, on a less serious note--what did we do before these! I am convinced they are the greatest invention ever.

Anyway, hope you all have a great Thanksgiving !

Can you give me a WHOO-HOO!!!

It's time to celebrate my friends, after what seems like ten years & a lot of hard work, my wonderful husband found out today that he made Wyoming Law Review and got his case note published! In English that means he has been working on a legal article that will be published in Wyoming Law Journal! He has been writing this since June and has put in many long nights and hours of editing. It is a very big deal for a Law Student, and we couldn't be prouder! Bare with me for one moment, while I have a very proud wife moment. I look up to Kevin so much, he is just a person who has no limits! He see's something he wants to achieve, he believes in himself and his abilities, he goes for it and never looks back! He is such a great example to me on where hard work, and self belief can get you! GREAT WORK KEVIN, Porter and I are so proud of you!

Daniels Update

As of late we haven't had to much to blog about! Life has just been regular old life, nothing out of the ordinary! Weather in Wyoming is so weird, one day it is absolutely beautiful and the next it is a freakin blizzard. We did have a couple of weeks were it was the best fall weather! While we had great weather I decided to take Porter out to the park to play. We had so much fun together, he loves the park and climbing up and down all the equipment. Here are some pics and a video of our fun afternoon at the park!

Master Yoda's Second Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I hope you all had a fun and safe day, isn't Halloween so much fun! I think it is even funnier when you have a little one to dress up. This year we had a lot of fun with our little Master Yoda! He looked so cute and wear his costume all day! Most of our Halloween activities took place on Friday, it was a busy day but lots of fun. First off, it was my birthday and Kevin as always made it a special day! The night before Kevin took me out to eat and to a movie, it was nice to be able to go out just me and him! On my birthday I woke up to him and my little man singing Happy Birthday, it doesn't get any better. For my birthday Kevin got me a kitchen table & some Jillian Micheal's work-out DVDs. Since, I worked all day yesterday, I couldn't answer my phone. But, I want to say THANK YOU to all my family and friends who called, texted, or facebooked me birthday wishes! It means so much, I love you all!
Now on to Halloween with Porter....it was a busy, busy day for us! Porter had a fun class party with all of his daycare friends. They painted pumpkins and participated in a Halloween costume parade around the daycare!

His Yoda custume was a major hit, everyone friends and strangers got a big kick out of it! After, daycare Kevin & I took him to the trunk-or-treat put on by the Law-School. Porter loved picking up the candy out of the bowls, and holding it all in his hands. He didn't want us to put it in the bag, I guess he was afraid we would eat it!

Later that night my work, Porter's daycare, put on a Halloween Carnival. I had to work it, but got to take Porter and Kevin around when they came later on in the night! It is a really fun event, with so many activities for the kids! Porter had fun fishing for toys, going through the haunted house, and winning cookies in the cake walk! Let's just say by the end of the day, we were all ready to caught some zzzz's!!!

Porter loved his Master Yoda cumtome so much, that this moring when he got up he wanted the ears back on! He wore them all morning, and even took a bath with them on!

And, here are some pictures of my cute little nerd!

GIVE ME SOME SUGA.......

Today has been one of those days where I eat way to much SUGAR! One of those days when you say, " OK this is the last piece of candy," then five minutes later your shoving one more mini candy bar in your big mouth!! So I decided, why not add to the sugar rush and make some cookies. I tried to include Porter in the festivities but , he wanted to eat the dough instead!

Tis the season.......

I want to start out by saying I absolutely love Halloween! I dare say that it is my favorite of the holidays! Maybe, its because its a free pass to be really silly, or because it brings the freaks out in large numbers! Whatever, the reason I really, really like it. Tonight, we started to get in the Halloween spirit by carving pumpkins. It wasn't as easy with a 15 month old, traveling all over the place, trying to grab the knives, and stuffing all the seeds you just pulled out back in the pumpkin! It was a little crazy but it was still fun!!

Also, a couple of weeks ago my little sister got hitched! Here are some of the pics I liked from her wedding.

Lots of Love.........

So I have seriously been such a slacker when it comes to blogging! We have had a few fun and exciting events happen in our family as of late!
1. Conference weekend was great! I love being able to be spiritually uplifted while chill in in my p.j.'s!!! To make it even better The Daniels came down to visit us, we had a great time with them! It had been a long time since we had been around family, so it was really nice to have them here! We just watched movies, visited, and of course ate some really good food!

Porter jamming out to Uncle Jeb's music!

A sneak preview of Porter's Halloween outfit! We found this Yoda custom, it cracked us up!

Also, this was my favorite(if you are suppose to have one) conference talk, this session. It was so powerful, if you didn't hear it play this video! Never have I heard a testimony of the Book of Mormon that was so strong!

2. On October 8Th, we flew home for my little sisters wedding! Fifteen minutes into the flight, Porter decided it would be fun to throw up all over mom! I don't just mean a little bit of throw-up I mean a ton. It was so gross and I am sure the people around me love us! The worse part about it is I couldn't get up to go clean it off, I just had to sit there. I guess I earned another strip on my mommy badge! Besides, that minor set back it was a really great weekend! Chelsee and James make a great couple and I was so glad I was there to witness the happy occasion. It was really neat for me, Chelsee and I have always been really close. I got to be right there by her side and help her get ready! It was also great to get to be around all of my brothers and sisters! We don't get all get together a whole lot, so it is special when we do!

Speaking of Weddings, come on Pam & Jim off the Office got married! It was a hillourious eposide! I laughed so hard I almost peed--this show makes me happy!
