Halloween Part Two

Our Halloween started out early with Porters Preschool Party. The kids got to go dressed up in their customs and did some Halloween activities. Porter had lots of fun and told me all about his friends customs. Later in the afternoon we went to the Fresh Market Trunk-or-Treat, and then to the Central Trunk-or-Treat with Trent and Chads families. We made it back just in time to meet Kevin and head down to yet another Trunk-or-Treat. I handed out the candy while Kevin took the two kids around to gather candy. We ended the night by taking the kids around the neighborhood that I grew up in. Porter loved going around from house to house, he would have kept going but Kev and I got to tired.

Eva had two customs this year. She went to the Carnival as Strawberry Shortcake given to her by my sister Bree. It was nice for the carnival because it wasn't so hot. On Halloween day she went as a little monkey. She looked to cute, but everyone kept calling her a boy, apparently little girls don't go as monkeys!

Porter went as Thor this year! We had a hard time trying to figure out what he should go as this year. My dad came up with the idea after watching the movie, I researched how I could make it, we got the hammer and made him Thor. He got called Thor/a viking/ and the kid from How To Train Your Dragon, but he loved it and had a great time!

When we were putting on his mustache he let us all know that super-heroes don't were make-up!

Halloween Part One

Halloween this year was really fun! The Saturday before Halloween we went to the Snow College Carnival with Chelsee, Chad, Amanda, Paislee, and Claira. We had fun playing games, getting our picture taken in the picture booth, and painting pumpkins. Porter went this year as Thor and Eva went to the Carnival as Strawberry Shortcake. They both looked so cute, I have always loved Halloween but now that I have kids I love it even more!

Manly Men

October is always busy for us with all the hunts. Kevin hasn't been able to go hunting a lot for the last few years. So he was very excited to be able to go with his dad and brothers this year. He ended up killing a cow elk and his dad and brother each shot a deer. Porter loved learning from his grandpa, dad, and uncles how you take care of the deer after you have killed it. He also thought it was pretty cool that he got to take a picture with Uncle Jeb and his deer! On a side note I think it is hilarious that I ended up in a family that hunts. The other day I was reading in my second grade year book and apparently I was a young animal activist, even though I am afraid of most of them. On my " If I where president" page I said if I were president I would outlaw hunting ha ha!!!

Best Buddies and the Pumpkin Patch

October was an eventful month in our household. Kevin was busy hunting every weekend, I was busy getting ready for my favorite holiday and turning one year older. Porter enjoyed having McKay come stay at his house, and Eva was busy getting teeth and getting cuter everyday! At the first of October over the Elk Hunt Grandma Daniels, Aunt Stacy, Tate, and McKay came to stay with us for the weekend. We had fun shopping, playing, and taking McKay to the Pumpkin Patch with Porters preschool class. They had fun going on a tractor ride and picking out the perfect pumpkin to take home!
