The Little Lady turns one!!!

Eva Grace had her first birthday on April 4th and we celebrated it in style in Disneyland!  We had a fun filled day we rode rides, watched a parade, had a small birthday celebration in our hotel room, opened presents, and ate cookies that the hotel staff made for her.  I have said it before and I will say it again  time just goes by way to fast.  It felt like it took her forever to get her and since she arrived the time has flown by.  She has been such a complete joy to raise thus far, she is the best little baby.  She is full of sunshine and smiles and we really couldn't be more in love with her.  She has such a sweet little spirit about her.

Eva Grace Fun Facts:

- Never stops moving!  You can see it when you look at her the wheels are at full force all the time.  She doesn't walk yet but to be honest I kind of dread the day.  She gets into everything, empties every cabinet, dumps out every toy bin and that's all while crawling.  I can't even begin to imagine the shenanigans that await me.
- She has the biggest, cutest smile ever.  From day one she has been very happy, rarely fussy type of lady.  She just has the most lovable cheeks and  smile.
- The girl loves food!  She eats just about anything she can get her hands on including rocks.  Her all time favorites however are eggs,  bananas, fruit-loops, oatmeal, and mac n' cheese. She also loves a good cupcake and shakes whenever she sees one.
-She hardly ever plays with toys most of her day is spent going from one destination to the other.
- She is a great sleeper and always has been.  She still takes two naps during the day, and puts herself right to sleep at the same time every night.  She is very predicable when it comes to her sleep.
- She loves to point at anything and everything.
-  She says words now like " whats that", " Mama", " Dada", and " Uh Oh"
- The girl can shake it.  Turn on music and that girl is moving
- She claps and laughs all the time
- She wears 12-18 month clothing and is a  size 4  diaper
-She scratches you if she gets unhappy and can be at times pretty sassy
-She adores her big brother and tries her hardest to keep up with him
- She hates whole milk but loves juice
- She loves going on rides in our truck above Aurora
- She loves technology cellphones, remotes, and turning on and off the tv

We love you little Eva girl so much and our so glad you are a part of our family!  We love your crazy energy and your big smile.  On a side note tonight Eva took my phone to bed without either Kevin or I noticing.  We were watching T.V. when Kevin's phone rang and Eva began babbling to him.  She is a crazy one and we love her so much!!!!

Dino Museum

We had a free weekend and decided to take the kids up to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum.  Porter loves Dinosaurs and has been learning a lot about them recently.  We go to the library every week and every week he checks out a couple of different books on dinosaurs. We can tell you their names, he knows the difference between a carnivore and a herbivore, and is convinced he and his dad are Bone Head dinosaurs because they have big heads.   This museum was pretty awesome it had all the dinosaurs bones and a lot of interactive activities for both of the kids.  I think Porters favorite parts where seeing the Bone Head dinosaurs and playing in the  huge sand and water table they had for the kids.  Eva was just happy to be there as always but had fun playing with the plastic dinosaurs and playing in the giant dino footprints.  We also got to dig for  bones, do huge dinosaur puzzles, play with magnets, and find a toy for each of them in the gift shop.  We enjoyed spending the day as a family and watching the kids have so much fun!

Their sweet when their asleep.....

Every Tuesday I try to take the kids to story time at the local library.  They both really love hearing the stories and then picking out library books after.  Then, if they are good  we get to go for lunch at McDonald's and go run errands at the stores.  It is usually a long but fun afternoon and every Tuesday my two little munchkins fall asleep on our way back to Aurora!  This Tuesday when I pulled in to my drive-way I found this cute little sight in the back seat.  They are  so sweet when they sleep!!!!

My little Eva the Diva turned ten months old.  Someone please tell me where those ten months went, it fells like it took her forever to get here and then when she finally did the time has flown by.  I will admit I wish she would just stay in this stage a little bit longer.  Sure, she wears me out on a daily bases with all of her shenanigans but she is so  adorable!   In fact as I am writing this little post I can hear her sweet little voice just  jabbering away in her crib.  She brings so much energy and sunshine into our family, we love her so much!
EVA GRACE AT 10 MONTHS:

- She pulls herself up on just about anything
- She is starting to cruise along the furniture
- She gets into anything that she possible can and never stops
- She basically eats what we eat at this point
- Has no interest in regular old baby toys
- Rides in a front facing car seat
-Loves her pink, fuzzy blanket
- Gets so excited whenever Porter walks into the room
- Loves to follow her dad around the house while he gets ready in the morning
- Squeals whenever she doesn't get what she wants
- Loves olives
-Has just enough hair for a little tiny ponytail
- Stands up in her crib after nap and yells at me until I go get her

Since I do monthly updates on Eva I feel like my little Porter gets left out.  Porter Lynn is as crazy as ever he too is a little ball of energy.  He loves preschool, and playing with his friends.  He started sunbeams in January and is not a very big fan of that.   He would much rather be in nursery playing with cars and eating a snack.  He pretty much makes a scene until I leave to teach my class and then he will settle down and participate.
He has an  infatuation with superheros of every kind, but particularly the Avengers.  Never did I think I would know so much about comic book superheros.  In his perfect world I would let him wear his Caption America and Spider Man pajamas everyday all day!   He has also recently been introduced to games on our I-touch.  It is amazing how fast kids that little can pick up things like that.  We really have to watch the time he gets on that everyday because he gets sucked in so fast.
Porter is still not growing at a rate we are happy with, so we decided to take him back into a doctor where he has had to have blood work done.  We can now rule out Ceilacs disease, but are being sent up to Primary Children's to see a specialist.  There they will test him for a number of things and hopefully we will get some answers.  Despite his small stature the kid does not lack for energy, we love him so much!

Eva The Diva and her Tater-bug!

I came across these pictures taken in November of these two wonderfully adorable little people! They are about three weeks apart and are  hilarious little creatures.  They both have the worlds biggest smiles, try their hardest to keep up with the two older boys, and have a strange obsession with growling.

Since it is January...

Since it is January I thought it would be the perfect time to blog about Thanksgiving! Yep, I am a little behind. We haven't had a camera since ours bite the dust when we moved. So, all of my pictures come from my phone, my mom's camera, or my momther-in-laws camera. We were lucky enough to have Mom and Dad Daniels come for a visit to Aurora this weekend so I finally got all of the pictures from her camera. Thanksgiving this year was spent in Layton with the Daniels. We had a great dinner and played lots of games! Then, since Stacy and I had never witnessed a Black Friday up close and personal we decided to hit the stores that night. It was a crazy time we could barely walk in Walmart, witnessed a man and a woman get in a fist fight and then get arrested. We spent forty-five minutes trying to make our way over to the four dollar pajamas and then another hour standing line to buy them. It was defiantly an experience and we had some really good belly laughs but I will never do it again!
Here are some pics of the post fest laziness:

That same weekend we went up Ephraim Canyon to get a Christmas tree. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow while Kevin and I went out to find the perfect tree. Most years I get teased that the tree I pick looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree but this year it really was a good one!

Who knows maybe next month I will finally blog about our Christmas!
