I just want to start out by saying I really have the greatest, most thoughtful husband in the whole world!!! He always puts so much thought into special days and makes them as wonderful for me as possiable. Every birthday and anniversary I have had since we have been married has been wonderful! Yesterday, was my twenty-fourth birthday and again Kevin made it a great day. Kev always wakes up at the butt crack of dawn to study-and so when Porter woke up Kev went and got him and they came in our room and sang me happy birthday. Then they gave me my presents which he always puts so much thought into. First, him and Porter know how much I love my trash mags. Yes, you heard me I love trash mags!! So kev and porter got me a years subscribtion to US WEEKLY, it was so funny I had to laugh. Then he also gave me a gift certificate to a local craft store that I love, and a new outfit for Sunday. Then to top it off he got sparkiling cidar and made the sweetest toast to me on my 24th b-day!!! Later that night we enjoyed a good dinner and went to a movie ALONE!! Thanks so much to our friends Mitch and Patti for watching Porter so we could go out! Kevin devoted so much of the day to me that he had to stay up way late to study last night. Anyway I just want to take this opportunity to thank Kevin so much for yesterday, it was a great b-day. I also want to thank him for always being a great husband, father, support system, and above all best friend. He works so hard for our little family, and tries his hardest to give us the best life! He is the greatest, I don't know what I did to deserve someone as great as him. Thanks Kevin-I LOVE YOU

Since we live away from all of our family they don't get to see Porter on a daily bases. So I just wanted Porter's Uncle Chad, Aunt Amanda, and cousin Paislee to see Porter in the Jazz shirt they got him. It is still a little big, but we wanted to wear it anyway. Home Sweet Home

We Dressed Porter and his cousin Mckay up in their Halloween customes so cute!!

This past week we had the chance to go back to Utah for the week and enjoy being surronded by our families. We left last friday and drove the seven hours to Ephraim, to join up with Kev's family for the opening weekend of the deer hunt. Porter did so good on the ride down, until we got to Provo and then the kid had, had enough. The weather for the deer hunt was so good, so we took Porter up on his first hunt. Him and his cousin Mckay loved the bumpy roads and fresh hour only found in the mountains. And Porter's daddy loved having his son up there with him!! The Daniels had a pretty good hunt, shoting three deer. I enjoyed riding around in the mountains, I love it up there. After the weekend was over me and Porter went to Aurora to spend time with my family and Kevin went back to Laramie for school. It was hard to be away from eachother for so long, but it was so nice to be in Aurora with my parents. Unfortunely I didn't get to see my brothers and sisters, because they were all sick. However, I just enjoyed so much being with my mom, dad, and my grandma. It was such a fun trip and it was so great to see everyone -but it is always nice to be home again to!!

Dressed to Impress

So today we dressed Porter all up for church in his new outfit, I found on clearance for a whole two dollars!! I thought it was the cutiest little outfit, it makes him look like a little man. We just couldn't help but take pictures of him all dressed up and ready to go! I am bias because he is mine, but man he is cute!!!(and his dad's not to bad either) I love these two guys, they are the best!

Go Utes!!

So today we went to our first football game at War Memorial Stadium. The Wyoming Cowboys were playing the Utah Utes. Needless to say we all had a bit of a identity crisis, we were all wearing both cowboy and utes gear. However, our Utah roots shown through and we just couldn't help but cheer for the Utes. Porter enjoyed sleeping through the game and the rest of us just about got blown away.(this Wyoming wind is crazy) The utes won 40-7 GO UTES!!!

Family Night

So tonight we had family night and we decided to carve pumpkins!!! They turned out pretty crazy, but we had lots of fun together(that's the point of family night i guess) Here are some pics of are pumpkin carving .

Well today Porter went for his two month check up, so far it has been a rough day for the little fella. However, not all of it as been bad he is weighing in at a whopping 10 pounds 12 oz, and is 24 inches long. That puts him in the fifth percentile for heighth and the 35th for weight. Basically he is a skinny long fellow. The doctor also said he was one of the most alert, and interactive babies he has seen. As the doctor would talk he would just follow him , smile, and try to talk to him(it was adorable). But, then came the bad part the shots, it was so sad-mostly for me. He did pretty good at the doc's office, but all day he has just looked so sad, and has been way fussy. Poor little guy, I feel so bad for him!! We were so glad though to hear that he is growing and developing well, we are so blessed!




Also I just wanted to add a quick thought about general conference this weekend. I loved pres. Monson's talk on change. It was really good for me to hear due to the fact that my life changed dramatically over the course of a month. It just reminded me to take each day and count it as a blessing. To not focus so much on the things I am stressed about, but instead to enjoy your love ones and your life as it is. Also, to enjoy your little ones the grow so fast, you'll never get those moments again so enjoy them!!!

The Movies and Porter

So before little Porter came into our lives, one of me and Kevin's favorite things to do was go to the movies. We loved it and that's were you would find us for most of our weekend dates. However, since Porter has been born and since we don't have family to watch him at the drop of a hat our weekend dates to the movies have been eliminated. Last night we both got up the guts to take a baby to the movie(scary thought). But, we thought what the heck we will give it a go, the worst that could happen is we would have to leave. So we got the latest show we could go to and we went. Porter was a little angel, he set on my lap in his little dinosaurs pj's and watched the first half with out a beep and then he went to sleep. Taking a baby to the movies wasn't a nightmare at all- we are excited to do it more often.
