Old Town Alexandria

Yesterday, we took at quick metro ride out to old town Alexandria, Virgina. It is one of our countries oldest cities, it was founded in 1732. It was home to historical figures such as George and Martha Washington and Robert E. Lee. It is a cool little town, with lots of history . We also got to go down to the water front and get a up close look at the Potomac. We had a lot of fun going in all the cool little shop and of course eating really yummy food!

Birthday Fun

Yesterday, we celebrated Porter's first birthday. I am pretty sure he didn't know what was going on, but he loved the cake, people singing Happy Birthday, and his presents! Just wanted to thank all our family members who called with birthday wishes, even though he couldn't talk back and most of the time wanted to close the phone on them! Also, thanks for all the sweet facebook and blog comments! We had a really good day with the little guy and again are so glad he is ours! WARNING: THERE ARE A LOT OF VIDEOS AND PICTURES AHEAD:

Happy Birthday to my Little Man!

I don't know where time goes, one year has blown by! My little guy celebrates his first birthday today!! He was born at 1:33 a.m. at McKay Dee Hospital. He was original due on the 20Th, but decided to hold off for a couple of days! We love Porter so much and we are so grateful for him. We couldn't have asked for a better kid, even though he has his spoiled moments. Here are some pics of one year ago today:

Funny Things About Pdiddy:

* He has never crawled the way most babies do, but this kid can scoots on his behind, all over the place! He kind of looks like a baby monkey when he does it but it gets him everywhere he needs to go and some places where he's not supposed to go! Every time we try to get him to crawl the "real" way he just puts his feet under his bum and gets to scooting!

* This kid loves to eat dust bunnies! Gross I know I try to stop him, but he hides them from me. He searches for them, and shoves them in his mouth before I can stop him!

* He loves to dance! Anytime there is music he gets his groove thing on! The boys got rhythm.

* Porter thinks you kiss with your tongue. When you make the kiss noise he lunges forward and sticks his tongue out, weird!

Dear Porter:

I love you so much and I am so glad to be your mommy! You make me so happy and I love being with you everyday. You and your daddy are the best people in my life. Thank you for all the things you have taught me and for your hugs and kisses.

Fun in the sink

WHAT happens when I leave Porter & Kevin alone for just a minute??? I come back and Porter is in the bathroom sink fully clothed with the water RUNNING! Kevin decided to make a mini HOT TUB for his mini man! Porter of coursed loved every MINUTE of it, he thought he was the coolest kid ever. We also decided that he needed some Alf Alfa hair, here are some cute pics & a video!

Random Part II

First thing is First, I never posted pictures from Kevin's first Father's Day! It was a really nice, easy going day for him. For Father's Day Porter gave him a new Nationals Baseball hat and we went to the Nationals game. It was a day full of baseball and good family time!

Third on the list, Porter woke up from his nap the other day with his little face pressed up against his crib, it looked like he was trying to bust out of jail! Kevin got in his crib and they looked so funny, here are some pics!

So this post is completly random! It has nothing to do with anything inparticular. Just some fun pictures and a couple of videos that I wanted to put on here! So ENJOY MY RANDOMNESS!

This is a video of the little man! The other night I was pretending I was a monster and he thought it was the funniest thing in the world. I will tell you one thing I just love hearing him laugh, it is the best thing!! Ignore me I sound a mildly challenged, but he sounds adorable!

This is a video of this drunk guy at the Nationals game. He loved Porter and McKay, he kept singing and dancing to them. Porter would just look at him like he was crazy, but he was cracking me up with his dance moves! It's side ways but I promise you will get a good laugh, he is shaking his money maker for all it's worth!

Sister Sister

So we have had a busy time the past couple of weeks with vistors. A day after Kevin's family left, my sister Chelsee and her boy toy James came to visit us. The spent the fourth with us and got engaged that night out here. We had a lot of fun with them, teasing Chelsee and getting to know James. They make a really cute little couple and we are so happy for them!
