Saturday, Porter decided to join Daddy during his work-out! It was so funny he had his shirt off, was taking it so serious, and would show me his huge muscles after. This kid cracks me up! Here is a video of him doing push-ups, ENJOY! I think we may have a mini Hercules on our hands.

A Mother's Heart
Ummmm.....how do I begin this post, decisions! I was reading online today a general conference talk given in 2004 by Julie Beck, entitled " A Mothers Heart." It is one talk that when I heard it struck a cord, I still remember the first time I heard it, it's words never left me. I turn to it sometimes when I need a reminder of my greater purpose, it's words give me comfort. I have had the great opportunity of experiencing life as a homemaker and life as a working mom. I have loved both for different reasons. Shortly before Porter was born I finished up my degree and life allowed me to stay home with him for the first year. I loved most days, playing with Porter, watching him discover, loved keeping my house clean, playing Betty Crocker, developing new talents, and most of all loved not missing a moment of his life. However, I had my days were I felt useless, I missed teaching, working. This year I went back to work as a preschool teachers, I am glad I found a job here that I enjoy. I love teaching, I love the feeling I get when I put together a great lesson that the kids learn from and enjoy. However, I have to watch Porter play through a window, everything has it's upside and it's down. I have been contemplating what I want to do when the time is right, and life allows me to do either. Will I want to teach, or will I want to stay home and teach my children? It is a hard decision, one I don't take lightly. Reading this talk today gave me a new perspective, especially this part:
...."I was recently at a park where I met a group of women with mother hearts. They were young, covenant-keeping women. They were bright and had obtained advanced degrees from respected universities. Now they were devoting their considerable gifts to planning dinner that evening and sharing housekeeping ideas. They were teaching two-year-olds to be kind to one another. They were soothing babies, kissing bruised knees, and wiping tears. I asked one of those mothers how it came about that she could transfer her talents so cheerfully into the role of motherhood. She replied, “I know who I am, and I know what I am supposed to do. The rest just follows.” That young mother will build faith and character in the next generation one family prayer at a time, one scripture study session, one book read aloud, one song, one family meal after another. She is involved in a great work. She knows that “children are an heritage of the Lord” and “happy is the [woman] that hath [a] quiver full of them” (Ps. 127:3, 5). She knows that the influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily mothering is far more lasting, far more powerful, far more influential than any earthly position or institution invented by man. She has the vision that, if worthy, she has the potential to be blessed as Rebekah of old to be “the mother of thousands of millions” (Gen. 24:60)."
Being a mother is the greatest of gifts. No matter whether I am working or at home, it has and continues to teach me so much about myself. I am also grateful that I was able to gain an education and develop talents that will make me a better mother. And I am even more grateful for this bundle of joy and personality my Heavenly Father trusted me with.

A day at the park.......
Spring Break what comes to mind for most people when they hear those words? I can think a few crazies, loud music, tropical area, and pool parties! None of which I have ever experienced on my spring break, which is just fine with me. My spring break this year consisted of the park, some really good laughs, chasing my little man around, great food, a trip to the zoo, and riding 4-wheelers. It was really fun to go home and enjoy both of our families. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I didn't get a lot of pictures. However, my sister-in-law Amanda took some really great ones of our play day at the park with her and Paislee.
PAISLEE AND PORTER SHOWIN SOME COUSIN LOVE:
MOM AND PORTER HAVING A GREAT TIME ON THE SLIDE:
After the park we went to my all time favorite place Ideal Dairy in Richfield.
We also took Porter to the zoo with the Daniels on Friday. Porter was so cute, he loved all the animals, and had fun with his cousin McKay. Hopefully I will be able to get some of pictures up of that soon.

Nothing like a good weekend
This weekend was a very relaxing, good one! After, a few days of bad, snowy weather it was beautiful on Saturday. We were all tired of being cooped up in the house, so we decided to take Porter to the park. Porter absolutely loves to be out in the fresh air, and running around. We took his ball and bat and he and Dad had tones of fun hitting it. Porter also managed to find every puddle of water and run through it a million times!
This morning I finally found my camera!!! I got it out to take some pictures of the little man and he wanted to play with it! I told him no and he got very mad at me. He can pull some really funny faces when he is throwing a fit!
This is the " please"......
Then the lip comes out.......( I know this is a crappy picture)
Finally it is full blown war.....
Also, when we were in Cancun Eva and Blake bought Porter this pimp tan Mexican Drug Dealer outfit!!! Ha Ha it's just this really cute tan short outfit, anyway he wear the shirt today but it is still to cold for shorts. He looked really, really cute in it.
Also, we took a picture of me and him today! I was looking at it and he looked so big to me. I can't believe how much he has grown, he isn't a baby anymore, tears!!!
And, finally this is a picture of the little and the big!

Send him to the Pro's
Hey, it's been a good Saturday with my little family! I love Saturdays, beside the fact that it is a relaxing day off, I get to be mom and wife all day and that makes me very happy. Our morning started off with a nice breakfast and lounging around together. Once my laziness subsided I began cleaning Porter's bedroom. When I was moving his crib he found his old pacifier. The pacifier he never used no matter how hard I tried to get him to use it. He went and hide in a corner and put it in his mouth and there it stayed all morning long.
After cleaning, lunch with Dad and some friends, and a quick trip to the library. Porter and I stopped at our favorite store the Dollar Tree. While, there Porter spotted and death grip this little plastic ball and bat set. And, since it was a whopping one dollar I bought it for him. He loves it and played with it all night. Dad taught him how to swing, and he caught on fast. He had the whole baseball stance going on, it was the cutiest thing I have literally ever seen!
I REALLY LOVE BEING THIS KIDS MOM!!!!

Hey it's WHAT THE HECK WEDNESDAY.....
Most of my WHAT THE HECK moments come from the hours I spend in my Preschool room. So, I have a few more to share along with some others!
1. Another teacher ask a student why her listening ears were not working. She looks at her for a short moment and replies, " Because they ran out of gas teacher!"
2. A little boy is getting in trouble for hitting another student. In responds to the world famous question " Why did you hit him?" He cleverly replies, " It was an accident, I meant to hit myself and I slipped and hit him."
3. Porter is already going through a independent stage. Everything I tell him whether it is to time to take a bath, do you want something to eat, or trying to change his diaper. No matter the situation he always looks at me points his finger and screams, " No,No Mommy!" WHAT THE HECK is this a glimpse into my future?
4. My junk food intake has increased dramatically in the last couple of months! WHAT THE HECK, I've got to get it together and stop pounding down the Cheeto puffs.
5. Yes, my life has come to blogging about the stupid Bachelor twice in a roll. But, I am seriously done with this show, Vienna come on WHAT IN THE HECK.
6. In conclusion Buzz Aldrin is on the new season of dancing with the stars! WHAT THE HECK, from walking on the moon to dancing with the stars.
